Dormia Mattress
Purchased Dormia Mattress in 2007, paid extra for better model. It has been the worst purchase, it is still hard as a rock and both me and my husband now have neck and shoulder problems.
I can't sleep on it any more and have moved to a single mattress thats 12 years old. What a waste of good money.
We don't even want to give it to someone else. We are going to have to replace it even though we thought there was a 20 year warranty on it but you can't find a Dormia store anymore.
DORMIA - BEWARE - $4300 for a pile of $h%t !!!
I have had neck and shoulder issues caused by my $4300 DORMIA bed. I THOUGHT I was buying the "top of the line" with the pillow top, bamboo cover, gel core or some $h%t.
I figured that we were going to buy a Temperpedic but we stopped at a Dormia store in the mall and we spent the extra money and purchsed this POS. No problems on my wifes side as she weighs only 95 lbs but as I weigh 190 lbs there is a huge hole that you sink into. It has caused my back, neck, and shoulders to twist at night out of causing pinched nerves. I cannotbelieve how many people (me included) bought these POS!!!
Best bed ever for the first 10 WEEKS - Got much worse after year 2 and now almost at year 4 I have been steeping on the floor as I cannot take it anymore!!!!!
WHAT ABOUT THE TEN YEAR WARRANTY ??????
I had a 12 month no interest card at one one time went I bought this POS- I was tempted to stop paying after 6 months - I WISH I DID !
Dormia, Advanced Comfort, Abed air mattress warranty problems
I purchased a mattress from Advanced Comfort, Abed, Dormia in 2001. All three of these names are on my paperwork and/or on the product.
I assume they were bought out or some such bankruptcy type situation. I paid $1500 for a queen mattress and in 2007 went to move it and found both rubber hoses had cracked and were junk. After much effort, the internal air mattresses were replaced under warranty. Recently, (4 years later) one mattress failed to inflate despite everything I tried.
They made me jump through all kinds of hoops (original warranty copy, original receipt, pictures) and I think they were surprised when I came up with it all. Suddenly, I had to pay $177 (65% of MSRP) once I had all the paperwork in order. A scam.
I can get an aftermarket one for a fraction of that. Do not buy from these people if you want anything covered under warranty.
Husband and I both in Physical Therapy for Back and Shoulder b/c of Dormia bed!!
Paid over $3000 (on sale) for this mattress 4 years ago b/c we were specifically told "it will not sage." It was replaced once 2 weeks after purchasing due to sagging , on both sides of bed, and a weird bulge on one side. We were originally told we had 90 days to try it out (the 2nd one).
And about 60-plus days in, we tried to return it and get something else....b/c it was starting to sag again and then we were told we really only had 60 days to return it. It is now sagging enough that my husband is in physical therapy for his shoulder and I am in physical therapy for my back and shoulder!! It has been a huge pain to get warranty pictures and the right measurements to get a replacement! And then, yes...if it's bad enough they will replace it....but we have to pay the, at least $400, we were told, in shipping to get it to us....only to have the risk a new one sagging...then us having to start the process of replacement over again!
and having to pay shipping again! b/c they said that no matter how many times they replaced it, we'd still have to pay the shipping!
so....we are currently looking for a new bed!! again!!
Dormia mattress $2000.00 mattress is sagged company is out of buissness how can a 4 yr.old mattres
my back is killing me and i spent 2000.00$ 4yrs ago they say they went bankcrupt and im *** out of luck, what can we do?dormia has ripped us off and i want to take action.They are the worst buissness i have ever had to deal with.The company is mailing me a claim report but if their out of buissness how are they able to help us? I want action and my money back I will yet to stop tryin and do everything i can to get results. Customer service was so bad it fustrated me all day trying to get them to ans the phone, now that they have they are telling me to take pictures and fill out a report i am so furious about this and better get results soon, its taking them 3 days to mail me a report,meantime i'm ruining my back some more.
Dormia has no customer service.
I bought a Dormia mattress a little less than four years ago, paying $2400. Today, that mattress has a valley down the middle that sags almost four inches below a straight-edge, laid across the mattress.
I am only able to sleep comfortably on the extreme edge of the mattress.
I went to the Dormia website and sent a note to their customer service address. I immediately received the following reply, directly on their web page: "We're sorry, we've had a problem processing your request. Our technical staff will look into this issue as soon as possible." I tried a second time, with the same results. Then, I noticed where they listed a phone number for Customer Service was just blank.
Apparently, Dormia neither has a customer service section, nor do they stand behind their product. Too bad, as I love this mattress for a couple of years.
Country-wide Sales Fraud, Inferior product
We purchased our Dormia latex/foam mattress 7/2008. It has worn a path and sags causing back and hip pain in the morning.
Also, my shoulders cave in and cause shoulder pain. It also crushes your shoulder when you sleep on the side. I called the warranty number and it has been disconnected. Don't buy this mattress!!!
We have been cheated and will now replace it with the top air mattress. By the way, my husband and I are in tip-top shape and did purchase their required base.

I'm trying to consolidate and placed Dormia in my debt consolidation program,but the debt collector of Dormia is claiming that they have a secure account, does anyone know?
their reps are very nasty, calling my job, when i tried to explain of my consolidation with a debt relief program. They don't want to discuss anything but to give them their money due. They can take the bed back, its not best as they claimed.
their rep said being that they are a secure account, they won't discuss my account with my debt consolidator. please can someone help me
Screwed by Dormia Mattresses
Do not buy Dormia Mattresses. They do not honor warranties.
I bought a Dormia Radiance in 2008 with a 10 year full warranty, 15 year additional prorated. In 9 months I had terrible back pain from a pit in the bed, that immediately disappeared when I stayed in a hotel. Pain reappeared the night I came back. Warranty claim denied: insufficient evidence.
The retailer and I both repeatedly contacted Dormia; finally, after six months, they offered to sell me another of the flawed product at cost+shipping. Why don't I just throw my money in the sewer! Found out they went through bankruptcy, and the warranty wasn't worth the paper it was written on.

Dormia Bed breaking down w/months, no service
We bought our split top queen size mattress in 2/08 & within months the legs starting breaking off & the mattress on my husbands side started saging.
We took the option to not pay for 18 months w/no finance charges & when the bed started to break down we contacted customer service & were told they would send us out new legs & then someone would come out to our house to replace them. Well we never received the legs so we went to the store we bought it in & found out about the Chapter 11.
A salesman there had one spare leg in the back & gave it to us for us to put on ourselves & told us not to worry, Dormia was honoring its warranty & everything would be fine. BS We have contacted the Better Business Bureau which has had some back & forth correspondence w/the company but they want us to pay a fee for someone to come to the house to look at the bed. WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO DO THIS? They want us to pay a fee to file a complaint. WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO DO THIS? They want us to take pictures of the sagging mattress, which I now see from other complaints won't be good enough, so WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO DO THIS? I just want the bed removed from my house! & I do not think I should have to pay anything for it. I'm not sure how this will end, but we just got a letter saying they have sent us to a collection agency. Now what? Our credit will be ruined?
Ineradicable smell renders mattress unusable
When unrolled, our new Dormia mattress smelled so dreadful that we could not even stay in our "part-time" studio apartment with it. I called the store where I bought it, and they said to air it out for "two or three" days. Where was I supposed to sleep, I asked. I did, though go sleep on a friend's floor (on a quite comfortable blow-up bed), but after three days, the new, airing mattress still smelled ghastly. My husband, who has asthma, went back home immediately (we live most of the time in another state and sleep on a tempurpedic mattress).
I called Dormia. Though most pleasant, they told me I had to deal with the store where I bought the mattress. They could suggest only that I spray the mattress with Febreze, or, perhaps they could replace the mattress (no thanks!).The store, however, was most unhelpful (I will report them to the BBB.) The manager talked about "little molecules rising from the mattress and dissipating in the air," said that unlike him, I must be very sensitive to odors, and that sometimes it took a mattress a week to lose its smell, all the while while assuring me that the fumes were not toxic (I wonder). I, too went home, leaving the mattress to air out, and came back 10 days later. The horrid chemical odor has not changed a bit.
I will ask for a refund from the store (which will most likely refuse it). As I should have from the outset, I will buy a Tempurpedic. Given the added price of the Dormia, it will be the world's most expensive tempurpedic--but otherwise I will have an unusable studio. So it has been an expensive lesson, but an educational one.

Me and my wife both have health issues and needed a mattress after 6 years of lying on an conventional mattress, finally after accumulating some fund went to Bobs furniture store for a foam mattress, after deciding on the one we wanted, i had a idea of going to Sleeps and tryings a Real one from therapeutic, right away you felt the diffrence, Bobs just did not fee right. After a long debate with wife we decided go with the s Dormia Mattress because of our budget and it was less then therapeutic, even though the sales person was not to thrill to sell us this mattress bell went off in my head and came home did some research . I want to thank you all for your review and wise decisions to post your opinions. Make a long story short I went back to the store and change my order to therapeutic mattress. I also asked the salesman why he did not warn us of Dormia and he replied " I try best as i could in a non evasive way but, i can not steer people its against the LAW" I also thought that this guy let me use his personal computer wen i asked to use it for review on the product and he let me therfor put a dout in my mind after reading several negative reviews. Perhaps he did his job but it took me a while to get it.

Dormia credit sending false statements using my name to exhonerate their fraudelant actions
dormia & their collection companies are making false allegations of me sending wrong information about me regarding me stopping payment on their inferior products. woww what desparate losers trying to save their fraudelant image.this company should be run out of business.
you can read the hundreds of complaints from all the customers all over the internet. my credit is fine & i pay all my bills on time. i wonder what drugs they`re taking lol lol.
the government should intervene & investigate their very unethical business practices. dormia is marketing their product under somnis sleep systems & other outlets, but beware some stores have the former dormia employees working for them.
Dormia commited fraud
dormia knowingly deceived & defrauded their customers when they sold their products while in bankruptcy voiding their warrantees etc.
they sold inferior products with very poor service to the customers
the victoms of this scam should file a complaint with the baltimore better business bureau in jessup maryland
you can also file your complaint with the commisioner of dept. of agriculture in your state as well as acomplaint to your county dept. of justice & consumer services.
we don`t want to pay for lawyers who won`t work as hard as we are to get our satisfaction. lets all work together & get this done.
Dormia defective product
I purchased the adjustable Dormia split top Legend mattress for $3730.00. After reading other reviews I realize just how ripped off we were.
Not only did we spend a lot more but the mattress was sunken in within 6 months. I sumbitted a claim since I was told the mattress came with a 25 yr warranty. I was denied the claim because what the salesperson didn't tell us was that the indention has to exceed 2 1/2 inches. The standard for the industry is 1 1/2.
About a yr later I filed a complaint with the BBB. I was asked to resubmit my claim which now the indention is 2 - 2 1/2 inches depending on where it is measured on the bed. They still denied it because it's not over 2 1/2. The BBB also closed the claim stating I didnt' have any recourse against them.
The BBB is just as bad. Dormia did nothing to resolve this claim & the BBB is reporting it like they did. Dormia's response was I could buy a new top mattress. Why would I want to spend thousands more for their defective product?
Consumers should now that Dormia is a terrible company. They make a defective mattress & charge a fortune for it. From my own experience & reading that of others the mattress doesn't last longer than 6 months. For me my bed cost $621 a month & now is a piece of garbage.
I bought the bed because I have serious bad problems & they claim that the bed will help your back by minimizing pressure points. The bed has caused worse problems because now I sleep on a slope where is has caved in.
I hope others research this company before they purchase & don't make the same mistake I did or you will regret it & will have thrown away your money as the company will not honor their warranty.

The Warranty company for Classic Brands LLC for Dormia products Classic Brands LLC.
Is not taking care of the 25 years warranty as it is adevertise and posted in Dormia Website. They make us to file a complaint and take photos then go back and forth we irrelevants issues but done nothing in order to complay with such warranty.
I encourage everybody here to support to each other that have issues with Dormia, to file a complaint in the BBB against this corporation and make them complay with such warranty. I paid almost 2000 dolares for something they are saling for US$ 400 to 800 dolars outside the retails and in top of that, no even the retail stores called Z-matress located in Miami Florida, after your purchase no even answer your phone calls. Or they box said "is full, no messages are taking.
Had my dormia for over a year now. 6 months in I started having the worst back pain of my life.
I'm under 30 never had back pain before. now i'm stuck with this POS mattress while i am sleeping on my couch.
